Parent Workshops

Secular Homeschool Co-Op, Clermont County, Ohio

• Fall Planning Workshop, Friday, August 4th, 2pm.

Help to create the kind of co-op that YOU really want to be in! We can't do that without involved parents like you. In a co-op setting kids and parents benefit from the frequency and familiarity that fosters lasting, meaningful relationships. And it's fun!

As a 'partial co-op, parent volunteerism is not required, however, we need some parents to lead classes. It is super flexible and ALL of your kids are free! Life skills, art, music, etc. Come with ideas! We will be planning Field Trips, Social 'After School' Clubs and Enrichment Workshops.

Clermont Homeschool CO-NNECTIONS was created by my daughter and myself to be a unique homeschool enrichment and social option without the commitment of a traditional co-op. Read about us here. We host Free and low-cost programs. Instructors and Helpers children are ALL FREE! To help better serve our homeschool community, please take this short survey.

We would love to have a small, interested group of parents who would like to help create this with us. If you are interested, please attend the Planning Workshop, RSVP.

• Game Day for Kids

During our planning session, we are hosting 'Game Day' for your kids in our newly improved Rec/Game Room! We have Foosball, Air Hockey, Ping Pong, Basketball toss, and lots of board games. Bring your own if you like! GAME DAY: Free if attending Planning Workshop, PLEASE RSVP

We would like to host more Parent Workshops in the future...

• Parent Workshop: Homeschool Tech: Planning & Organizing

We’ll present and discuss the use of technology in your child’s homeschool education. It’s important for kids (and parents!) to know how to use and utilize technology. Become knowledgeable about basic programs and concepts; platforms and applications, to supplement any homeschool education, and, at any level or budget. This workshop can also help choose an online or computer planner, or paper, for your homeschooling needs. Join us for a conversation about adding more technology into your family's home learning.
*Day and Time to be announced.

• Parent Workshop: Independent Homeschooler

We all love the freedom we have as homeschoolers, but freedom can be a boon and a burden. Schooling in the manner that most of us were raised with, can provide a sense of comfort. Become comfortable learning how to teach independence, through self-motivation, organization, follow through and accomplishment. *Day and Time to be announced.

• Parent Workshop: Grade Level

Many of us love the freedom of ‘unschool’ but many of us try to keep to ‘grade level’ or some other form of measurement in our homeschool education. If this is you, learn how to create, and stay within your desired parameters, without feeling lost or overwhelmed; and still enjoy your freedom! *Day and Time to be announced.
