About being an Leader or Helper:

Would you Like to Be Involved? Read about our philosophies on our 'About Page'. Does this sound like a good fit for your family? Consider being an Instructor or Helper. In order to keep the financial cost as low as possible, we operate as partial cooperative.

People can choose to lead, and in return, receive classes at no charge for their children; and others can choose to just pay and go. Families can share in the Instructor and Helper roles in place of session fees.

Most CO-OPs offer only ONE of your children at no cost if you are instructing. We offer ALL of your children FREE while you are leading your club or class. Please see more details below. We think that this feature really differentiates us from other co-ops. Spread the word!

*Exceptions to free classes will be for events that charge a fee, such as our volleyball, canoe or room escape events.

The length of a ‘session’ will vary as we offer multi-week sessions, mini-sessions and one-day-workshops. Our social time is relaxed, flexible, and an affordable way to get the kids ‘socializing’!

Helpers are needed to supervise and implement activities and lessons. It is a great way to be involved with much less commitment and effort. Helpers kids are free too.

Participants have fun in a non-competitive, secular, and safe atmosphere. Our large play space is roomy enough for the kids to spread out, and do different activities in various areas of the space. We have various ‘no pressure’ themed mini-lessons, and activities that change weekly, and ‘open play’ if they do not wish to participate.

Our facilities and amenities include a kitchen, reading area, and more. The rec center has foosball, basketball, mini tramp, and more. Quiet activities include board games, card games, imagination and role play activities, art, and crafts.

Helpers are responsible for helping in the planning and implementing of themed activities and mini-lessons, and work with the other helpers.

Fill out the Leader Online Application and submit an outline or description of your proposed theme and activity ideas. Does not have to be super detailed; just the basics.

What Can You Do?

Whatever you like! If you have lesson ideas that you would like to try out, but not in a full course, our summer sessions are a great way to do that. With less commitment, you can do 'one-time' activities.

If you have a hobby, skill, talent or interest, you can turn it into a workshop or class, or just present it as a mini-lesson or club. If you don't have a hobby, etc. you can be a Helper and generally supervise.

We need Leaders and Helpers for our 8 Week Session Math Activity Class! Up to 4 people needed to implement two, 8 Week Sessions.

Two people for each session. (We previously met at the Union Twp. Library)

Easy Terms:

Club and class Leaders should promote their own classes on Facebook, their homeschool groups, etc. It is the responsibility of myself, and each Leader, to help ensure that we have a minimum of 6 paid kids per class. Helpers should also help promote classes as well. Please use Social Media to help promote by doing FB 'check-ins', status posts, Homeschool group posts, Instagram, Twitter, or whatever platform you use.

It is crucial that we have a minimum of 6 paid kids per class, (not including our own 'free' kids, to cover our rent and supplies expenses. We cannot proceed with a class if we don't have at least 6, and we will have to refund people's payments.
