What I Wish I had Learned = What I Will Teach
I wish school had taught me more useful skills that I would use in my actual life. I bet we have all said that. Stuff like balancing a check book, creating a household budget or planning a week of dinners.
Perhaps some of us did learn that if they took Home Ec. or Shop Classes. I went to a part time vocational school while in high school so I learned floral design.
What I wish I had learned was how to organize myself, how to properly plan, how to have realistic expectations while still learning to dream too. I wish I had learned how to think and act independantly. I wish I had learned how to trust myself.
I think that is why many of us homeschoolers often doubt ourselves. We learned it in school.
So, I will teach my child to organize herself, how to properly plan, how to have realistic expectations while still learning to dream too. How to think and act independantly. And how to trust herself.
And how to make small talk at a dinner party and how to have lovely table manners and, well, you get it!
