About All Classes
About All Classes:
We provide a non-competitive, safe atmosphere. We are secular, and inclusive, and do not discriminate regarding religion, race, gender, appearance, economic, national or ethnic origin.
We welcome special needs of any kind; academic, physical, mental or emotional impediments, impairments or disabilities. We promote diversity, tolerance and encourage multi-age, multi-ability group play and learning. We have a no-tolerance policy on bullying. All classes are secular. Ages and abilities are merely guidelines. Please contact to discuss your child.
We try to accommodate all ages in our classes. We have had a lot of requests to extend the age range. We are seeking Instructors and Helpers to conduct programs for younger kids.
What's Included:
Enrichment classes may include social time. Our large space is roomy enough for the kids to spread out, wander around, and do different activities in various areas of the space.
We have ‘no pressure’ approach and activities and ‘open play/social time’ are available to kids who are not comfortable in 'class'. Our amenities include a rec/game area that has foosball, basketball, ping pong, air hockey and games. Quiet activities include board games, card games, imagination and role play activities, art, and crafts.
Our facilities are equipped with a kitchen. Students and parents are welcome to bring your own lunch or snack, and eat in the kitchen. Please label everything, and please clean up everything. We have some members with extreme sensitivities to various foods. We are 'nut free' Please see our Hygiene policies.
Missed classes, illness & lateness:
Please see our refund, illness & lateness and all policies.
Costs:
In order to keep the financial cost as low as possible, we operate as partial cooperative. Families can opt to share in the Instructor and Helper roles in the Co-Op in place of session costs, or, pay the session costs, and have no other obligation to the Co-Op.
Class Instructors and Hangout Helpers receive their own children at no charge for their class or Hangout. Siblings are free to stay in the hangout area only, and siblings are welcome to register for other classes at a lower cost.
Supplies Fees:
Some classes may require an additional supplies fee. We will keep these as low as possible also. If there is an additional class cost, that will be in the class’s description.
