• We are inspired by Micro-schooling, which is the reinvention of the one-room school house; where class size is small and there are mixed-age level groupings. Children can participate in multi-age, multi-ability group learning experiences, exploring exciting and motivating ways to study interesting topics while building friendships.
• We are similarly inspired by the Sudbury school's practice of schooling in which students individually decide what to do with their time, and learn as a by-product of ordinary experience rather than through classes or a standard curriculum.
• We promote diversity, tolerance and encourage multi-age, multi-ability group play and learning. We welcome all special needs; special needs of any kind; academic, physical, mental or emotional impediments, impairments or disabilities.
provide a non-competitive, safe atmosphere. We are secular, and inclusive, and do not discriminate regarding religion, race, gender, appearance, economic, national or ethnic origin.
We welcome special needs of any kind; academic, physical, mental or emotional impediments, impairments or disabilities. We promote diversity, tolerance and encourage multi-age, multi-ability group play and learning. We have a no-tolerance policy on bullying. All classes are secular. Ages and abilities are merely guidelines. Please contact to discuss your child.
Our large play space is roomy enough for the kids to spread out, wander around, and do different activities in various areas of the space.
We have ‘no pressure’ themed mini lessons, and activities that change weekly, and ‘open play’ if they do not wish to participate.
Our amenities include a kitchen, reading area, rec area, and more. The rec center has foosball, basketball, mini tramp, and air hockey*. Quiet activities include board games, card games, imagination and role play activities, art, and crafts.
Our facilities are equipped with a kitchen. Students and parents are welcome to bring your own lunch or snack. Please label everything, and please clean up everything. We have some members with extreme sensitivities to various foods. Please see our Hygiene policies.
