Hangout Themes

 

 

The ‘Hangout’ Club is a relaxed, flexible, affordable way to get the kids ‘socializing’!  Participants have fun in a non-competitive, secular, and safe atmosphere.

 

Our large play space is big enough for the kids to spread out, wander around, and do different activities in various areas of the space. During their stay with us in Homeschool Hangout, participants will enjoy the rec room and themed mini lessons.

 

In addition to our large rec room with basketball, ping pong, foosball, mini tramp and more, we have various ‘no pressure’ themed mini lessons, and activities that change weekly. Some examples are ‘Mystery Detective’, ‘Great Masters’, ‘Pokemon’, ‘Reporters on the Beat’, and much more.

 

Please feel free to suggest ideas or lead a Theme or Mini Lesson yourself! *Remember, there is no charge for a Hangout Helper’s children for that class!

 

Mystery Detective:

Become a Homeschool Hangout Detective in this themed mini lesson. Junior detectives will solve mysteries such as coded messages, poker hands, scavenger hunts and even the Titanic’s Passenger Manifest, using language arts, math, logic and social studies.

 

Great Masters:

Participants will be presented with great artists and their respective periods in this themed mini lesson. Junior artists will recreate their favorite masterpiece to take home.

 

Pokemon Evolution:

Learn about the Pokemon characters, how to play the card game and recreate your favorite characters rock painting.

 

Reporters on the Beat:

We will explore journalism's history and in today's context. Junior reporters will create stories for our 'Clermont Homeschoolers Club News'.
